Super Rare John Lennon Ain't That A Shame Mint Promo US 45  with Custom repro Sleeve

This is an Apple US PROMO vinyl 45 by John Lennon that was canceled and never released to the public. It was the follow up single to Stand By Me, but due to legal problems, Apple decided not to release it. Vinyl 45 is in Mint unplayed condition, very clean and very glossy. This 45 comes with a  very cool Mint custom repro sleeve!

Here's an article about this recording by Bruce Spizer: Encouraged by the chart performance of Stand By Me, Apple scheduled a second single from John's Rock 'n' Roll album for release in the summer of 1975. The record was assigned number1883 and was set to feature Lennon's rendition of Fats Domino's Ain't That A s Shame. Although a promotional record was pressed and distributed, the single was never issued. Apparently, no stock copies of the 45 were ever pressed. The Ain't That A Shame promo, APP 1883.DJ1, has a mono mix on the A side and the album stereo version of the song on the B side. The A side has the record number P-1883 and the mono mix master number PRO-8148 to the left of the center hole. The B side has the record number P-1883 and master number S45-49141 at the same location. The record has a reference to the Rock 'N' Roll album in the upper left part of the apple on the A and B sides. Because the song has a short running time, it was not edited for radio airplay.
