Description
On sale here is an acetate LP from BELL Studios, New York. It is John Lennon & Yoko Ono, and is an Acetate of the LP 'Some Time In New York City' This Acetate looks in very good condition, with just a few light marks. There is a small chip right on the outer edge of this acetate, but it is outside of the run in groove, and does not effect play, not that this LP should realy be played!! I have listened to very small snipets of this LP just to check condition. It sounds like it may need a pro clean, slight back ground noise, after all it is over 30 years old. The recording is very loud. Obviously these acetates were not designed to be played, just to test the pressing/production. As you can see from the photos, the labels are hand typed, and also have the Apple Records credit on each label. Side 1 label is perfect, but side 2 label has a flaws, again see photo. Overall, this is a very good condition acetate compared to some I have seen. This acetate is a scarce item, and any Lennon or even Beatles fan would like to have this in their collection, not to play, but as a very rare collectors item. This acetate was on eBay last year, but winning bidder never paid, I have since moved, and the item has only just come out of storage. Any questions, please feel free to email me.
