Description

John Coltrane Settin’ The Pace 1981 Stereo Reissue OJC-078/Prestige 7213 VG+/VG.


For auction is a great listeners copy of Settin’ The Pace by John Coltrane. This album by the legendary jazz saxophonist was released by Prestige in December 1961. It contained unreleased material that was recorded back in March 1958. Prestige released the records without Coltrane’s permission after he moved labels. At this time he had already left both Prestige and Atlantic and was signed with Impulse!, where he had most of his success and finished his career before his death. This copy is a 1983 reissue released by Original Jazz Classics, OJC-078.


Vinyl is play graded VG+. A few light visible surface marks but all superficial. Plays with very faint background noise if any. No skips or jumps. Sounds amazing! Please see pics.


Cover is in VG condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. Title is legible. Creases on lower left side of front. Light ring wear on both sides. Please see pics.
