Description

I’m a retired jazz musician, and will be selling a bunch of my old jazz records over the next month or so. Please note I am unable to meet in person - all records will be carefully packed and shipped. I tend to grade conservatively, and am easy to deal with if a return is needed.


John Coltrane “Lush Life,” Prestige 7188 mono vinyl LP. This is the first pressing from 1961, with deep grooves, “RVG,” and Bergenfield address on both sides. I bought this from a California record store about 10 years ago (see last photo), and have only ever played it twice (including once today for grading purposes).


Sleeve: EX+ bordering on NM-, with very light wear. Includes original wax paper inner sleeve as well as a modern protective inner sleeve.


Vinyl: NM-. Looks nearly new. Outstanding, quiet listen (which is crucial for this record as there are many quiet, exposed passages in the music). Very low mileage record. The only thing keeping this from being NM is a spot at the beginning of side 1 with slight “fuzzy” background noise for about 10 rotations, and I believe it’s a pressing artifact, as there is nothing visible in the spot.
