Offered for sale is a first UK mono pressing of Impressions by John Coltrane, released by His Master's Voice (HMV) — catalog CLP 1695.

Recorded live at the Village Vanguard and in the studio in 1961–62, Impressions captures Coltrane at the height of his experimental creativity. Featuring a dream team lineup including McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, Elvin Jones, and appearances by Eric Dolphy and Reggie Workman, this album is a cornerstone of early avant-garde jazz.

This UK HMV mono pressing is prized for its warm, punchy sound quality and scarcity compared to the more common U.S. Impulse! pressings.
