Description
Very few UK 1st press HMV copies seem to turn up of Coltrane's seminal 1963 LP Impressions, but here's your chance to get hold of one.
The front laminated flipback sleeve is generally in fine shape, with just one or two minor creases near the spine on the front, a little feathering to the opening edge and a few minor marks on the back. No writing or seam splits, or significant edge wear. It grades between VG++ and Excellent.
The vinyl does have some marks and hairlines but these don't have a major impact on the audio. There's a little surface noise from time to time - consistent with a 57-year-old piece of vinyl - but the music overshadows this comfortably for the most part. You'll also notice the occasional static pop or tic. Overall it's a powerful listening experience and grades VG+.
The labels are in very good order with a bit of spindle wear, and a thin scratch on the Side 2 label.
It comes with a very good condition lined period inner sleeve.
A very collectable album with room to upgrade – if you're lucky enough to see another copy.
