Here is an original JOHN COLTRANE - IMPRESSIONS vinyl LP, Impulse! A-42 from 1963!
I'm not a professional grader, just a collector, but I know what I look for (been stung enough times), which is how I will go about this:
The laminated jacket is a VG+. There are no tears or splits. A couple of "bubbling" spots where the lamination somehow lets go, which is common with old jackets of this type. The original Impulse! inner sleeve is also included!
The record would probably be graded as VG-? It is flat but there are scuffs and scratches throughout both sides (please see photos; I tried to get these to photograph). I gave it a professional-level cleaning on a vacuum system, and the record actually plays fine, and has a dynamic sound, but be aware there will be various amounts of crackle throughout, as you would expect.
Because of these factors, I am starting the bid low for this one--I know there is somebody who wants an affordable original. Don't miss adding this to your collection!
