Condition: the vinyl visually is VG with . There is next to no play interference on the album. The music on side 1 plays cleanly. There are 2 very soft clicks on side 2 and 2 more that are a little louder but not by much and a passage only 2 or 3 seconds long where there is some very soft surface noise. (in the run out groove on side 1 there are 2 not very loud clicks). Nothing particularly significant at all.
The cover is VG+ with a few hints of slight ring wear- top front, back front and bottom. 2 Short tears near the bottom on the back cover. Has some scratch marks inside the gate fold at the bottom right and a bit of brownish discoloration along the top edge on the right, inside the gate fold. Nothing particularly significant. No seam splitting and no cut out hole. The cover is a gate fold

This is the 2nd pressing with the 1st take of the piece. By accident Bob Thiele put out the wrong take. After he went through the initial press run, he switched the masters to the other take and inscribed edition II on the inside of the runout circle. So there are really two versions of ascension.
