Mint Minus sound quality (Playtested 10th December 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Near Mint (there are only 1 or 2 visible superficial surface marks on either side of the record, both sides of the record are mainly unmarked, two beautifully clean surfaces, there is not a deep raised scratch in sight of any significance, the record is exceptionally clean and as said before the surfaces are largely unmarked, there may be some barely visible light paper traces from the the record being placed in and out of the inner sleeve under extreme bright light but make no mistake this record is stunningly clean, the record looks unplayed before my playtest by looking at spindle marks and it has been looked after and cared for supremely well, a supremely clean record, labels are ultra clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is no wear around the spindle holes, there is no pen marks or writing on the label, wonderful sheen to the record, overall a stunning copy visually, as close to brand new as you are going to get without actually being new out of the shops) I have seen so many copies of this LP turn up rough and played to death but this one looks immaculate. If you currently have a VG copy and are looking to upgrade then this is probably worth bidding on as it is the best disc for this LP I have ever seen (and I have seen a few).

Album Cover Grade: Excellent Minus (no major creasing to the front corners, no major creasing to the rear corners, there are no spine splits and there is no rubbing/wear to the spine, no top edge splits, no bottom edge splits, there is no rubbing/wear to the top and bottom edges, no rips or tears in the sleeve, slight corner rubbing, there is some ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, the sleeve suffers from some slight discolouration/staining on the unlaminated rear, there are some pen marks/writing on the sleeve with the name L Booth in small blue pen on the top rear sleeve, no laminate lifting or peeling that is serious apart from a tiny visible bit near the sleeve opening on the front sleeve, overall a decent sleeve)

Record Collector 2010 Price Guide Book Price: £70 Mint

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. Please be confident when buying from me as i have many positive feedback comments left for me and I have been trading on ebay for over 3 years. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask. Please also click on 'View seller's other items' on the right hand side of the page to see what i have on offer. All the pictures you see in the listings are taken with my own digital camera and my scanner. They will be 100% representative of what you will be purchasing from me. Good Luck !

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
