Description

An original 1st press of LITTLE HELP on UK Zonaphone from summer 1969. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1A/1R - excellent provenance. Please note the vinyl labels mention 'Sold In The UK..' as you will only ever find on the very 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo flipback cover. We also have the original inner sleeve date coded to the month of release '079' - July 1969. So, 100% genuine and 100% compete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use [careful]. Expect a few light marks per side - nothing heavy - one does sound marginally [see detail]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. This 60's LP actually plays back even better than it looks. I am absolute lovein' it. A really nice clean player without background. All I could detect was 6-7 minor ticks [low in the mix] in the opening sequence of 'DIFIYL' caused by a light mark. Thankfully it is low in the mix and not distracting. Given the vintage - highly accomplished. Run into 'Little Help' is lovely and clear. 'Shall Be Released' is very fussy...but plays superb. Overall - an absolute cracker.
Cover (Vg+) Nice clean front with just a few thumbnails. The rear has avoided the worst of the ageing process - just light evidence in a couple of spots. A bit of surface wear at the opening. Flipbacks are intact and secure. Minimal edge wear and spine 95% intact. Text on spine fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. Bag present. No splits.
