CONDITION DETAILS Still in ORIGINAL SHRINK-WRAP (opened), with HYPE-STICKER. Unopened/new vinyl, factory sealed, and in excellent condition. Minor wear to corners. deep divots near bottom-right on front (abrasion near bottom-left on back). (Not a cut-out.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Although very successful as part of the R&B trio Shalamar, the impact of this solo debut made Jody Watley a cultural style icon in R&B, pop, and dance music. The album's success culminated in Watley winning a Grammy award for Best New Artist in 1988 against fellow artists Breakfast Club, Cutting Crew, Terence Trent D'Arby, and Swing Out Sister. The album peaked at No. 1 on the R&B charts and No. 10 on the Pop Album charts. Five hit singles were generated by the album: Looking for a New Love (No. 1 Dance and R&B, No. 2 Hot 100), Still a Thrill (No. 3 RB, No. 14 Dance, No. 56 Hot 100), Don't You Want Me (No. 3 R&B, No. 3 Dance, No. 6 Hot 100), Some Kind of Lover (No. 3 R&B, No. 1 Dance, No. 10 Hot 100), and Most of All (No. 8 Dance, No. 60 Hot 100).
