Description

For sale is a vinyl record by Joan Baez titled One Day At A Time, originally released in 1969 on Vanguard Records in a gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "Pete Helffrich", indicating that this record was mastered at Helffrich Recording Labs, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This is a hallmark of state-of-th-art engineering, sought out by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record used and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of the insert(s) or the original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of a little foxing and wrinkles. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with smooth, shiny surfaces without any spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this album as Near Mint with a spacious soundstage with pinpoint imageing. It plays all the way through without pops, skips or surface noise. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of corner blunts, edge rubs, ring wear and the start of some seam splitting on the bottom corners, less than an inch. This is one of the best copies of this hard to find album that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find an original Helffrich pressing. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and the album still has a lot of life yet. This would be a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more Folk albums, as well as records of all genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.
I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in protective inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
