Description
JIMMY SMITH - A NEW STAR ... A NEW SOUND, Blue Note BLP 1512, mono, deep groove pressing, flat edge, RVG and ear symbol in dead wax, 47 West 63rd on labels and jacket.
The musicians on this 1956 recording are Jimmy Smith (organ), Thornel Schwartz (guitar), Bay Perry, Donald Bailey (drums).
The tunes are The Way You Look Tonight, You Get Cha, Midnight Sun, Lady Be Good, The High and the Mighty, But Not For Me, The Preacher, Tenderly, Joy.
Condition of record is E, one very light scuff, no scratches, several spindle marks. Jacket shows some overall wear, four inch seam split top right, two inch seam split bottom right, spine is split halfway up from bottom.
