Description
Up for sale is a very clean copy of Jimmy Smith ?– Jimmy Smith At The Organ, Volume 1 on the Blue Note label with "RVG" and the "Ear" symbol and the 47 West 63rd NYC address on the label. Vinyl is (visual) M-/VG++. Hairlines, scuffs. Retains much gloss.
Cover is M-/VG++, light general wear. Edge-wear. All seams intact (see photos for details).
VPI cleaned.
I play-graded this one.
Side 1: Plays and sounds great. Minimal surface noise and clicks/ticks in some quiet sections. There are also many quiet sections with no audible clicks/ticking. Some light distortion from groove wear towards the very end of the side. No loud pops or clicks.
Side 2: Plays and sounds great. Some light surface noise/light ticking in some very quiet sections and in between tracks. There are also quiet sections with no clicks/ticking. No loud pops or clicks.
From a collection I recently purchased from an 83-year old record collector. His record shelves had plexi-glass doors in front of them which explains the amazing condition of the sleeves. He also took incredibly good care of the records. Follow my listings for more M-, mono Blue Note, Prestige, Pacific Jazz, Verve, Contemporary and Riverside LPs I'll be listing in the coming days.
