Description
This is Prestige Records Lp156, Jimmy Raney Plays. With a blue and silver, deep groove, 446 W.50th St. NYC addressed label, this is the original mono issue of this classic session with the ear (p) mark in the dead wax and featuring Stan Getz. The record is in VG+(+) condition; a strong VG+, showing just a few light marks on side 1 (side 2 is clean), and playing quietly except for occasional light background crackle in some quiet spots. No skips or distortion and nothing to interfere with the enjoyment of the music. The cover has some shelf wear, an odd 3 ridge cut on the upper open edge and a label, name stamp and marker writing on the back, but is otherwise intact. The labels are excellent with no spindle marks. despite the cover issues, this is a fine collector's grade copy of a rare original Prestige 10".
