Description
Elektra EKL-303 (mono), "Maxwell Street" with Jimmy Davis, vocals and guitar, from 1965. Original sawtooth guitar-player-label vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. Heavy laminated jacket has solid seams all around and modest wear on two corners; there is a small bit of lamination peel on the open edge; there is a small punch hole at lower left that is easily missed. Otherwise that jacket is very clean with no writing, stamps, or bends. This is the blues singer Jimmy Davis, not the country singer Jimmie from Louisiana. Songs are "What More Can a Man Do", "Two Trains Running", "Long-Haired Darling", "My Baby Changed the Lock on My Door", "Drifting from Door to Door", "I Got My Eyes on You", "Me and My Telephone", "Dust My Broom", "She's My Babe", "Alberta", "Baby Please Don't Go". and "Drifting Blues". Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Regrets on overseas shipping cost, but Folkways LPs are heavy. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
