Description
Up for bid is a rare LP, "Down To Earth," the debut album by Jimmy Buffett. This was released by Barnaby Records (Z 30093) in 1970. See pictures for song list. LP is VG++ (nearly NM), with a couple of tiny faint scuffs on side 2. LP is extremely clean and retains a nice gloss. Interior labels are very clean. LP plays with some light surface noise (crackle and tics). Most (if not all) of the surface noise should be removed with a professional clean. Jacket is VG+. This is a cut out item, with a cut in the front lower right corner (see pictures). There is a small seam split about 1/2 inch long on the bottom seam, from the edge of the cut corner toward the spine. There is wear on all seams and corners. There is writing on the back of the jacket in red ink (see pictures). There is light ring wear on the back of the jacket. There is an area of discoloration on the back across the middle, perhaps from a light spill long ago (see pictures). This area does not feel raised or damaged (entire texture of the back of the jacket feels uniform). The front retains bright coloring and a nice gloss. Don't miss this rare gem!
