Description
Several years before Honeycomb (1957), Jimmie Rodgers recorded on the Zig Zag label. The record is I Always Knew/I Won't Sing Rock and Roll. I found a copy of this record at an estate sale. I noticed it had the name Zig Zag Records with an address in my town. Out of curiosity I drove there and asked if they were familiar with Zig Zag Records. Seems the home owner's husband had started Zig Zag Records back in the day. Jimmie Rodgers is one of those artists they recorded. Between the time this record was recorded and Honeycomb, Jimmie's voice and style improved dramatically. Surprisingly, after fifty-five years, they still had a supply of this record. I bought all of them. This record is not listed on Jimmie's official discography but they do show a photo of both sides on his website. I sent his webmaster a copy of the record. Jimmie has verified that it was his first record.
This offer is for one Jimmie Rodgers 45 rpm record in red vinyl in pristine condition (never played) in dust cover. I use a 45rpm record mailer and wrap the record to ensure safe arrival. I'll sell to anyone who loves Jimmy Rodgers.
Thanks for looking at my offer. I appreciate your time. Good luck in your hunt for just the right item.
