Up for auction from my record collection is this rare Hendrix album. It is a 1978 release from Nutmeg Records, Los Angeles CA. NUT-1001.

The album was recorded in Greenwich Village, New York at a club. I am the original owner. On the front there is a circle to the left side that says Buyer's discretion advised, not suitable for airplay, Rated X. Rumor has it that Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison were at the show, and after getting plastered, Jim came up to sing FHITA and No No...and yes they are offensive, and entertaining. Now I am not exactly sure of the extent of the rumor, but it sure sounds like Morrison, and there is a point near the end of FHITA that Hendrix says "if yall are wondrin' what's going on, I've asked Jim Morrison to help me out..."
This album was always hard to find, and has been prized in my collection for many years...I did play it quite a bit. The cover is quite good with minimal ring wear, the bottom seam is starting to peel apart (easy to glue). There is a 1 inch split on the bottom and a hint of one on the spine. I see a couple of soft scratches on each side, and scuffing. I am sure there is surface noise that may be gone with a good cleaning, I will play it now looking for any pops, and if there are I will update this post. I am starting this listing @ half of what I have seen others in the same condition sell for.
