FOR MANY -- PURPLE HAZE will be folks first experience  of the experience...it's here that you realise...something else was afoot at the Circle K....WHAT we can promise you here is a PH to blow your head off...Many copies out there but why risk 50/50 on such an iconic track...get yourself the banger you deserve.
An original and properly genuine 1st pressing of HITS...on Uk Track. Matrix A1/B3 [very early!!!] They made lots of 'em...but the early pressings are harder to find. WE HAVE A GENUINE SPRING '68 STEREO 1st HERE. INNER STATES FEB '68. Cover has the STEREO HYPE STICKER. Why make a fuss about a 1st? Because pressing quality and standards tailed off, on this title, as you hit the turn of the decade. THE BEST audio from this title is found on strictly the EARLY copies. Heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover which is in fantastic condition and has a pinched spine. TO stereo stickers on the front... The original generic inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Just clean riffage - even in the lowkey moments!  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Absolute ripper! Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Clean feeder all the way baby. Nice heavy detailed sound...plenty of dynamics...good snappy percussion and drumming. MOST original copies do not really manage this solid and effective rendition. STAY EARLY and stick to the well preserved copies... Admittedly few copies conform to these specs...but when you find one...you know you are finally listening, to the REAL DEAL.
Cover (Ex) Nice clean surfaces, very rarely do you see a HITS copy looking this tidy. This copy looks great and is a real time traveller. Minimal edge wear and the openings are still sharp. NEAT INSCRIPTION on REAR... The spine is 99% intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Ex-) Bottom edge split has been taped up. Light ageing.
