Description

This item is a 1st press album released in 1969 on Reprise Records by The Jimi Hendrix Experience entitled ‘Smash Hits’. Record label and number is Reprise Records MS 2025. Record itself is in excellent condition with just two very light hairline scuffs that can be seen under a strong light. Reprise records two tone labels show no spindle wear however the Side 1 record label has some small rubber stamped lettering (FALKOFF) nest to the record stock number (see photos). Record cover is in VG+ condition with flaws being a crease at the top left corner, a crease on the back of the cover near the bottom right corner, some light wear on the bottom corners, a name stamped in small rubber stamped lettering on the back of the cover (OBERT M. FALKOFF) at the center near the bottom, and some light wear (see photos). This first press cover has printing on the front of the cover that states ‘Giant Poster Enclosed’. This first pressing comes with a full color 27 1/2 inch by 20 1/2inch poster that was only included in initial pressings of the album. Poster itself is in excellent condition (see photos).
