Description

Jimi Hendrix Experience Electric Ladyland Reprise 6307 VG/NM '68 Cover/'79 Discs
Cover: VG. Very light ringwear on front sleeve, more pronounced on back. Gatefold artwork nearly perfect.Stress marks on front sleeve at center right(see photos).Significant scuffing on top spine (the worst of the 3 spines and resulting in a 3 inch seam split),less so on the bottom, title spine is very nice. This is an original sleeve circa '68.

Discs: NM overall.1979 editions with tan label and the contemporaneously available Hendrix Reprise discography sleeve. Side A/Side D and Side B/Side C pairings (pretty unusual for late 70s reissues).
Visually:  Side A-Near Mint. Under bright light, maybe 2 ghostly scratches,2 small fingerprint smudges, very glossy.
Side D-Near Mint. Under bright light, maybe 3-4 ghostly scratches,2-3 small fingerprint smudges, very glossy.
Side B-Near Mint. Under bright light, maybe 2 barely findable scratches.2-3 small fingerprint smudges, very glossy.
Side C-VG++.Under bright light,2-3 fingerprint smudges. This side does have some visible light scratches in a 1 inch line over the entire playing area. No sound from these are produces (or noticeable to me) until the quieter/"underwater" (as I call it) section of the track, resulting in only about 4 spaced-out (timing-wise) medium-level pops. These are not recurring with each revolution, but randomly occurring. Other, than that you have largely silent backgrounds on this side just as the other 3 sides have.

Audio: Side A-Mint. No noise at the first needledrop at the lead-in groove area. Silence for the rest of the side noise-wise. Of course, there are no more silent breaks in between tracks on this side either, but, no noise detected during the music.
Side D-Mint. At the beginning of the lead-in groove, there are what sound like 2 ticks (way down the street distant-wise) before the audio ("Still Raining, Still Dreaming") begins. No noise in between the remaining tracks on this side until before the closer ("Voodoo Chile /Slight Return) where there is some barely audible static present if the volume is way up.

Side B-Near Mint. At the lead-in groove, there is a noise level of 0.25 out of 10 (10 being the worst)-with the volume way up-before the first track ("Little Miss Strange") begins and this level remains so for the remainder of the side in between tracks.2 audible pops at the fade out of the 2nd track ("Long Hot Summer Night"). There are 5-6 audible crackles at the fade of the 3rd song ("Come on Part 1").Otherwise, there are near-silent playing backgrounds for the entirety of the side.

Side C-Near Mint.See the visual recap for Side C for specific audio description (about 4 pops in a quiet section).Other than that, no noise at the beginning lead-in groove and remains so throughout the side. Near perfect.
