An original 1st UK press of on UK Track - Mono. These labels are quite distinctive and are only found on genuine 1st press. They are close on to the original masters and pressed on super solid vinyl. The vinyl comes housed in the original cover by E J Day. An original inner sleeve too. 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks per side, a couple of superficial trails - but nothing heavy or nasty looking though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in a couple of tracks on side 1. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with really good clarity. As you can imagine many of the original copies are going to be looking a little worse for wear by this point in time. So, there are plenty copies out there to be had..., but not so many are going to be playing great after 57 years use. In fact, most will disappoint in some way or form. Really what you need is a great copy so you can truly witness the manic guitar mid-way through Manic Depression...this is pure and classic Hendrix! Expect just a bit of background briefly in a couple of tracks per side. E.g Red House. And even then it still sounds fab - just not perfectly clean. Nothing upfront. So, side 1 has seen a touch more use [than S2]. Side 2 is even better. Straight NearEx [As a minimum] no problem at all - consistently. This allows you to sit back and marvel at this classic 60's title. REMEMBER plays absolutely superb... Even some of the quieter tracks play great - like Waterfall. Excellent detail down well into the mix. Love it. This one is highly crankable!
Cover (Vg/Vg+) In nice condition and has survived the years in better condition than many examples. Relatively clean surfaces and just handling wear on rear with some ageing creeping in at edges. Spine is quite worn so don't expect much. Only worn through for 1 inch - not too bad though. A common problem and difficult to avoid on this title. Overall pretty decent for the vintage and this particular title.
