Description

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced.

Track Records, 612 001, UK 1st Pressing, MONO, 1967. With fully laminated sleeve!

Incredibly scarce with the fully laminated sleeve - (front and back gloss cover lamination) in incredible collector condition.

Sleeve grades EX+, vinyl grades EX+/Near Mint.

Probably the most significant 'debut' album from any artist. This one's an absolute stunner!

Yup it ain't cheap. But, as they say 'find another'... I doubt many survive like this one has.

So many examples of the front (only) laminated version exist, but how many have both sides of the cover laminated? In 35 years of record collecting, I've only come across a handful.

This has been the nicest example I've seen by a country mile. I'd love to know how many came with the fully laminated sleeve.

Part of my private collection, I've enjoyed being the custodian of this album for a long time.

This is the first UK mono pressing from 1967. Medium to heavyweight vinyl. Great quality. Mono pressing.

The vinyl is high-quality and medium weight. Just a few very light hairline wispy marks in places. Nothing feel-able with a finger. Plays through beautifully and the sound of the mix is extraordinary. Excellent Plus to Near Mint. It's a TOP example.

Sleeve shows a couple of finger creases in the laminate, but no issues at all. It's in spectacular condition. Sleeve lies perfectly flat, with no buckling or creasing at all. The lamination is glossy and has kept all the printed colour protected underneath with zero fading or discolouration. There is a a very small area of lamination lift / bubble on the reverse, at the bottom near the spine (see pic).

The spine and all the remaining three edges are in amazing shape.

This gorgeous fully laminated sleeve easily grades an EX to EX+ to even the most finickety collector.

I cannot confirm if the inner sleeve is correct or original to the LP. It's the same inner sleeve it's had since my ownership. It is a period correct, age-appropriate plain white flipback inner sleeve with poly inside.

I guess these are easily found and replaced elsewhere if it's a deal breaker.

First press matrix numbers.

Note: I have a standing offer on this album from a very established collector, so I retain the right to end this auction if I'm not certain it will meet that sort of selling price. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the most fastidious record collector, so please get your bids in, and ask any questions - I'll be happy to help.

I had considered listing this on Discogs, but since the photos tell the story so much in this case, I decided eBay to be the best platform to get this seen.
