Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest Disc 1: Play Grade Very Good (Very sharp and clear sound, slight noticeable audible crackle throughout the tracks, slight noticeable background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, there are some noticeable light pops/clicks here and there throughout but they are only just audible and reasonably scarce. Very Good sound quality (Playtested 25th June 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade Disc 1: Very Good (Looks very well played with lots of light superficial hairline surface marks covering both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there are also 4 or 5 more feelable light hairline scratches on the record and these slightly affect playback by causing some of the barely audible pops/clicks mentioned above, looks to have been played on lots of occasions by looking at spindle marks, labels are reasonably clean with no major rips/tears to the label, there are no pen marks/writing on the label, there is some noticeable wear around the spindle holes)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good + (no major creasing to the front corners apart from a quite noticeable bottom right corner crease, no major creasing to the rear corners apart from a slight bottom right rear corner crease, there is no spine splitting but the spine does ever so slightly suffer from some wear/rubbing at the top and bottom of the spine, the rest of the spine is fine though, no major top or bottom edge splits and there is very little top edge and bottom edge rubbing/wear, some corner rubbing, no major rips or tears in the sleeve, some ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, there is not much discolouration and staining on the G/F sleeve as the sleeve is fully laminated, there is no serious laminate lifting or peeling, overall a decent sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
