Description
A Note: Records are graded strictly! I want each person who receives an album from me to be happy with their purchase. I know how it feels to expect something that is declared as EX or VG+++ only to find out when it arrives to be VG or worse. Each and every LP is play graded before listing. Many times I listen to them twice or three times just to be sure I'm being as accurate as possible. My grading system is below the description. Please read it, as it will give you an idea of how I grade records. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I will answer them to the best of my ability. Usually it takes me less than a day to get back with you.

Jimi Hendrix -Electric Ladyland Blue Track LP Original 1st press UK 1968
How to tell a true original pressing:
1. Crossed out/ Hand Written Matrix numbers – only found on the earliest copies! If there are NOT hand-written matrix numbers in the dead wax, then it is a mismatched cover and vinyl set: not a an original 1st press.
2. Blue TEXT on the inside cover. Also larger photos of Mitch and Noel
3. Inverted Matrix numbers on the label.
4. NO “Two Record Set” on the label.
-----------------------------
Labels – EX all 4 sides
Vinyl Visual – VG+ or better for all 4 sides.
Vinyl Playgrade: Not a MINT copy, but a decent listen overall….
Side A – VG to EX. Crosstown Traffic plays EX or better. Track 1 and Track 2 play VG to VG+. The last track on this side, “Voodoo Chile” has 3 pops/short skips in it…VG
Side B - EX- : There is a feint thing hazy line that goes across the vinyl on this side. This would reproduce a very feint/soft sound now and then…not constant…and not intrusive. If I didn’t point it out, one might miss it…if that helps to explain it. I’ll try to show this in the photos.
Side C - EX or better: Pretty much flawless…
Side D - EX or better: To me this the best side of the album…Voodoo Child (slight return) is the killer track on this one…turn it up and enjoy…. and All Along the Watch Tower is a close runner up. You gotta play this side LOUD!!!
If you have not listened to a first pressing then you’re in for a real treat. The effects Hendrix uses in this mix are crazy….. a true Psychedelic Xperience!!!
Cover – VG+ : Original 1st press. Laminated gatefold cover with BLUE TEXT, LARGE pictures of Noel and Mitch on the inside. Has creases to the laminate on front cover. Corner Rubs. NO WRITING, TEARS, SPLITS, OR HOLES! Inner gatefold has a little laminate peeling where the cover opens. I tried to show the flaws in the photos. If you would like more photos let me know and I can email them to you.
No original inner sleeves – comes with poly sleeves

Grading:
M- Very, very few records will make this grade. I save this grade mainly for sealed LPs or very rarely, LPs I have owned from new, that I have ONLY play tested to be sure there are no faults to the vinyl. Cover will be just about perfect in all respects.
EX (+/-) LP will have little to no background noise (crackle/pop/etc) when played. There certainly won’t be any loud repetitive pops, clicks, jumps or skips. The vinyl will have a “Like new” sheen with very few surface marks if any. These marks should not affect play whatsoever and are strictly cosmetic. None of these marks can be felt. Covers will be in very nice condition with NO splits, tears or obvious writing (any writing will be mentioned and described). May have the odd small crease, laminate peel or corner bump. Spine should be fully intact, clear and readable.
VG (+/-) Most records will fall in this range as I don’t like to grade used records higher unless they are a real exception. These may play with some light background crackle/pop that can be heard in the quieter parts of the album, between tracks or on the run in/run out grooves. May have an odd light pop or so. There should not be much of anything that disturbs the music when it is fully kicked in. Vinyl may show some marks, but nothing that will cause major interference. I think of these as player copies that can be enjoyed by most. Album covers may have one or more of the following: small seam splits, slight ringwear, some discoloration, small writing, or creases. Any defects will be in the description.
G (+/-) These will have background crackle/pop that can be heard throughout…even when the music is kicked in the background noise will be constant. They may also have some repetitive loud pops. May have a minor skip or jump. May stick. Faults will all be described in detail. Covers will be split, may have large writing. At least one side of the cover will be intact. Spine may not be readable or may have splits.
Fair – I don’t like to sell records in this category unless they are so rare it hurts. Will skip, have loud pops, or may not even play at all. Covers will be split, soiled, or possibly torn.
