Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland
2 LP set released in 1968 on Track Records.
What actually constitutes a first pressing of this LP has prompted much debate over the years. It use to be a widely held belief that the 'Blue Text' sleeve was a first pressing but there are many people who believe it is nothing more than a printing error.
Cover is fully laminated inside and out.
Gatefold opens to view inner spread (glued to outer cover's inside tabs as separate element). Gloss laminate exposing matt areas on all four edges. (Effectively, the sleeve is a flattened 2-piece cardboard tube).
Hendrix portrait on right-hand side (Back cover behind it).
Large sepia images of Redding & Mitchell on left (Front cover behind it), with blue tracks/credit text below them. "Track Record" logo center, E.J.Day print data to left
- Trying to work out the actual stamped matrix numbers on the disc isn't easy.
- Both discs have over stamping and scratch outs. I have photographed one side of each LP which will hopefully aid your deliberation.
Disc Condition : EX++ (If it wasn't for the light spindle marks on the labels I would say this copy is possible unplayed. No marks at all on the vinyl and this would be a final upgrade copy)
Sleeve Condition : VG+ (A very well presented sleeve with no major defects. Has some mild creasing and laminate lift and a couple of bent corners. Please see the photos for a better understanding )
