Description

This is a Classic Records reissue SEALED LP TEST PRESSING of Jimi Hendrix, Band of Gypsys catalog number ST-472. It’s a reissue of the original Capitol Records legendary live album from the Fillmore East, with tracks like “Who Knows” and “Machine Gun,” one of Hendrix’s all-time greatest tracks.

This is an incredibly rare test pressing from Classic Records dated June 30, 1997. Classic Records would provide these test pressings to audiophile record reviewers, I got one and I simply never opened it and in fact forgot I’ve had it for more than 10 years. The writing on the sleeve is from Classic Records, not from me! The sound quality of this pressing is phenomenal – I heard someone else’s copy on an audiophile system and it’s absolutely stunning. 

I have been collecting records and CDs for over 45 years and have decided to begin selling items from my collection as I no longer have the time to listen or the room to keep all my records. Keep your eyes open for many more records up for auction as time goes on. All of my records have been fanatically well kept over the decades in a smoke-free home.
