Description
2406002 Original Stereo pressing from 1970 on the UK TRACK label with the I.O.W cover rather than the puppet version. Matrix A1/B1. Album title shows as 'Band of GIPSIES' on the record label as opposed to 'GYPSYS' on the record cover. This is the stereo version and was mastered/mixed to acheive the best quality sound, unlike many of the later reissues.
Vinyl (Ex+) Still remains shiney like new and has only seen minimal play. A close visual inspection reveals no visiable markings at all. Needless to say this is unsual for a record of this age. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Apart from a couple of crackles on the first intro there's very little interference apparent at all. Even in the quiet sections the audio comes across unhindered with great clarity.
Cover (Ex) Remains in fantastic condition apart from a couple of pin pricks in the corners and some light edgewear. The colours are vivd and there's still a rigid feel to it despite approaching 40 years of age.
