Description

An original 1st press of 'Band Of Gypsies' on the UK Track label. Matrix A1/B1. Please note label is consistent with 1st press along with a typo error - Labels mention 'Side 1' & 'Side B'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in the revised I.O.W shot cover which they switched to after the early Puppet Sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. There's a lot of full-on high energy audio on here, but then there's also the quieter moments in 'Machine Gun' too. And you only get to reveal the full scale of the dynamics on a nice clean copy which doesn't interfere with those quieter moments. Interference on this copy, thankfully, is very minor. All we could detect was a touch of light static momentarily in a couple of isolated moments e.g. intro of side B. It's really a very well preserved low-mileage copy.
Cover (Ex-) In nice shape and has not suffered heavy handling like many examples that surface. Just light handling front and back with minimal creasing. The interior is in great shape too - no issues. There's some edge wear, but nothing too significant. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity.
