Description
An original, 1967, UK, mono copy of The Jimi Hendrix Experience's 'Axis: Bold As Love' LP on the Track Records label. Includes the lyric insert but the inner sleeve is not the original.
The sleeve has obvious creasing and wear and the insert is quite creased (please see photos).
Matrix numbers:
Side 1 - 612003 A [inverted triangle] 1; Side 2 - 612003 B [inverted triangle] 1.
Side 1 has multiple spindle marks on the label and an obvious, long, linear scratch on the vinyl across tracks 2-6 as well as another discrete scratch across part of track 5 and another across part of track 6. These discrete scratches do not sound on my turntable but they may on yours.
Side 2 has a few spindle marks on the label and some fine surface marks on the vinyl as well as discrete scratches across parts of tracks 2 and 6. Again, these discrete scratches do not sound on my turntable.
Both sides sound quite crackly to me, worse than the visual gradings. The record was probably quite well played, consistent with the appearance of the sleeve and insert. From the appearance of the labels, it looks like side 2 was played more. I'm not going to claim that this LP is anywhere near mint.
I've owned this record for years but not since the 60s!
I'd prefer not to ship overseas because of the associated customs issues.
