Description
Dig! This is an original copy of Jimi Hendrix's first album on reel to reel tape. I bought it still sealed in the cellophane. IT IS ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED TO HAVE BEEN PLAYED ONLY ONCE. It comes from a smoke free, pet free home, and has been stored in a temperature and humidity controlled vault while it has been in my possession. I am a serious collector, an audiophile and a consummate perfectionist, so all my music is WELL cared for. I don't sell junk. (If I buy something which is not up to my high standards I will throw it away, or give it a way.)
A while back I bought a small lot of still sealed original tapes. I copied most of them as .wav files, (which I play and enjoy,) and never played them again. I am now trying to pay off some medical bills so I will begin selling my collection. This tape has excellent sound and fidelity. I have bought many old sealed tapes and some of them had degenerated quite a bit. This one is excellent! Over time the original plastic reel has warped some so I recommend transferring the tape to a different reel when you get it so it doesn't rub while playing. There is very little fading and minor shelf wear for such an old piece.
I will ship the tape with the tail out to prevent print through. So it will start on side two if you play it right out of the box.(But remember the warped reel.)
( If you don't know about print through, and storing your tapes with the tails out I suggest you google it.)
(Watch out soon for my reel to reel decks, rare viny, and more tapes as I will begin selling off many more.)
Good luck on bidding!
(I don't get why ebay puts a default shipping fee on the page. Shipping fee depends on what zip code it is shipped to. )
