Description

An original 1st press of TAAB on the UK Chrysalis from 1972. Matrix 2U/2U - very 1st cut. Etchings Porky/Pecko. Stampers 1-AH/1-MH. Please note the labels exhibit the white 'i' and text right at the top - these are the very 1st issues. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gimmick newspaper sleeve. Also included is the original generic white patent no. inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and have only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. By and large a very nice and clean rendition. The only criticism I could level at it was a few light ticks in the first minute of track 1. They are low-level [nothing remotely close to being a pop], but just audible all the same. Barring that expect a clean and impressive rendition for the remainder of this TULL classic.
Cover (Ex) A notoriously difficult cover to find in decent condition due to the newspaper styling. By now most of these copies are aged, or exhibit heavy handling/ripping etc. etc. But this example is really a cut above what usually surfaces. There's not really any ageing front and rear and there's no heavy wear or creasing. Petty much as good as is realistically possible to find - just one or two minor marks. All the interior pages seem to be intact and still attached. Edge wear is light and the text on the spine is just about still legible - but showing a touch of wear in places.
Inner (Vg+) A 1c.m. bottom edge split. And a bit of creasing and "TULL" written in one corner.
