Jethro Tull – Thick As A Brick - Vinyl LP 1972 - Newspaper Sleeve - Play Tested VG+ to EX
This is the earliest UK issue and a first press. 

• - Matrix / Runout (A-side runout, variant 1): CHR 1003 A-3U PORKY
• - Matrix / Runout (B-side runout, variant 1): CHR 1003 B-2U PECKO

- The 12-page newspaper gatefold-style sleeve has a heavyweight card construction of the record pocket, unlike later issues using a lighter card stock. Consequently, there is a noticeable paper weight difference between the 2 sleeve versions.  - The Island logo & radial text is in white at the head of the labels.
- Later repress (2nd press) issues do not have the Island imprint on the labels

The Vinyl has been fully play tested as it carried some light non feelable hairlines and due to its almost 52 year age. The playback was really strong with No skips, sticking or jumping. There were odd bits of noise and soft pops in some of the quiet passages but nothing was very long, very loud or heavy enough to interfere with or overpower the music in my view. I would say it played to at least a VG+ standard if not closer to Excellent.
The Newspaper Sleeve is also in great shape for its 52 tears age. Yes it has some creases and looks to be a typical newspaper that has been read a few times. It is complete though and has the thick card pouch for the record.
