JETHRO TULL - 'STAND UP'
This NEAR MINT 1st UK STEREO pressing of their second album dates from initial release in August 1969 and is on the textured pink Island label with the 'orange circle' logo: ILPS-9103
Matrix numbers: ILPS+9103+A & ILPS+9103+B
Disc weight: 168g
Housed in gatefold album cover, in a woodcut style designed by artist James Grashow which opens up to reveal a cut-out of the band's personnel stood up. 'Stand Up' won New Musical Express's award for best album artwork in 1969.
Complete with its original plain white, die-cut inner-sleeve.

Immaculate, vibrant and unworn labels with just a single faint trail around the side 1 centre hole which was most likely the result of stacking in the factory rather than from turntable play.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a few harmless inner-sleeve storage marks are totally 'as new' and unmarked both in strong daylight AND on close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. There are no scuffs, marks or scratches anywhere on this beautifully preserved, heavy copy which lies 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: NEAR MINT
This copy has clearly been barely, if ever played and the sound throughout is completely clean, clear and totally unworn. My single careful play-check at volume found no evidence of any groove/playwear, background interference or any clicks, pops or other such distractions. Tough to find a nicer copy.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A wonderful example of this award winning cover which apart form a hint of storage rubbing is undamaged and unworn throughout. The front panel is 'as new' with absolutely no creasing or any kind. there is a hint of rubbing to the corner's extremities but no bumps or bruising to any. The rear panel has a little storage rubbing but again no significant or major signs of wear. The inside is 'as new' and the perfectly worded spine and all seams are totally unworn.

Clean, flat & brilliant white with just an unavoidable faint disc impression.
