Jethro Tull Stand Up LP UK 1970 Original GREAT AUDIO [Ex+/Ex-]

Description

An original pink Island copy [3rd label variation] of Stand UP in the UK. Matrix A2/B. Island got through a lot of label variations in 1969. So, whilst this is the 3rd label variation this actual pressing will likely come no more than 9 months after 1st release. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover with the gimmick pop-up in the interior [still in full working order]. Also included is the original patent pending inner sleeve. So. 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. TULL audio is often acoustic and delicate in nature - only low-mileage copies which have been looked after stand half a chance of delivering a clean rendition. I'm pleased to report that this copy is very very nice indeed. It delivers really nice clean audio for the most part which allows STAND UP to really shine. Interference is was very minor infrequent. All I could pick out were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Overall, and in summary, a really superb rendition which really allows you to fully appreciate this TULL masterpiece in all it's glory.
Cover (Ex-) Really difficult finding this cover in tip-top condition...it's a real rarity. But this example acquits itself admirably with a very clean and unaged front cover. It lies totally flat with barely a single crease as far as i can see. The rear looks very smart indeed..many many copies will not get close to this example. Just a touch of lightest ageing in a couple of spots - very little to complain at. The interior looks great with the pop-up in excellent order. Edge wear is pretty light and the openings still sharpish. The spine has a touch of light ageing here and there, but all text is fully legible...which is really unusual on this title.
Inner (Ex) Light ageing. No splits.
