JETHRO TULL "A PASSION PLAY: FORUM '73" LIVE 2LP **RED VINYL** TMOQ TRADE MARK OF QUALITY #TMQ 72010 MATRIX # JT- 538
Hello to my fellow Tull and TMOQ collectors! I am still in the process of offering up some delightful Tull items. This is one of my prized possessions but it is time to offer it to other collectors of fine vinyl. What we have here is a stunning deluxe edition of the TMOQ classic, complete with a fine William Stout cover. What has a lecherous half man/half pig sitting next to a bashful naked lady got to do with Jethro Tull? Well, maybe it is a strange depiction of the lyrics from "Aqualung" (Sitting on a park bench, eyeing little girls with bad intent)...
Anyway, you get two beautiful red vinyl albums, complete with the classic sideways pig labels! It is from the LA Forum, Inglewood, CA 7/20/73. Please note this show is NOT the same one as "Supercharged"!
Sides one and two are "A Passion Play" Side three: Thick As A Brick (the "middle bit")/Cross-Eyed Mary Side four: The Bomb In The Dressing Room (previously unreleased)/ Aqualung
The vinyl has been lovingly stored and protected in plastic-lined sleeves: despite their age, they rate M- with virtually no surface noise. No skips or warps. The labels are clean with no writing. The cover is in wonderful condition: no writing, tears, split seams, etc. It does have two minor dings on the lower corners and there is a tiny brown stain on the back - it measures about one-eighth of an inch (can you tell I am a picky vinyl collector?).
You will be hard pressed to find a copy of this in better condition - don't pass up this opportunity!
I play rate all vinyl and am a conservative grader (some say down right picky). A purely visual inspection might be convenient for the seller but not necessarily for the buyer! I've been collecting vinyl for 30 years and know from experience that visually a record might look mint but may play with a lot of surface noise; some vinyl looks pretty bad but may sound terrific. So, playing all of the record- not just bits- is the way to go.
