As you can see from my 100% feedback, I sell with complete honesty and reliability. Above all things I am a record collector and music lover. I only sell records that I would want to receive. I know well the disappointment of receiving an over-graded record that turns up two weeks late. That is not the service you will receive here, so bid with total confidence. I don’t sell a lot of records because I spend a lot of time carefully finding, grading and listing them and do not like to rush this process, as many sellers must do to be able to sell 100 records a week!

I am mostly a collector of old time music, pre-war blues and folk, so buy job-lots that often contain rare records that aren’t to my taste so to ebay they go!

Up for auction is a UK first pressing of Jethro Tull’s iconic and most renowned record!

This is the first press with the textured EJ Day printed outer sleeve!

It has the 1st press green Chrysalis labels bearing the white “I” island symbol with the “Basing St” address to the top rim!

To come across a first press Aqualung is always a rarity, but in this condition it is simply unheard of!

I hasten a guess that this may well be the finest example of Aqualung in existence.

It is as if new running near MINT throughout, so look no further we have a Final Upgrade!

Sleeve Condition.

The 1st print textured gatefold sleeve is in truly mint condition!  There are no stains, splits or writing to mention!  All the edges are straight and crisp with only the very very mildest shelf wear to bottom edge.  The colours are as vibrant as they were on the day of release.  There is no foxing of opening edge which remains pristinely sharp! Its looks shop new, it really does! The best you will ever see

Inner Condition.

The 1st press lyric inner on first sight looks new.  There is no writing, folding or stains to mention! The only sign of use is a small right hand side split, other than that it looks new, with no sign of discolouring or age at all! Were it not for the small split it would be solid museum mint!  Pretty Remarkable!

Label Condition.

The first press green Chrysalis labels with the Island I to the top rim are in fantastic condition.  There are no rips, rubbing, writing or stains to mention.  There is no centre hole damage at all.  Even under a strong light, only one minor invisible spindle line can be seen!  It’s clear that this record has been played once or twice at most!

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The record itself looks beautiful!  It still retains its factory shine and lustre with no scratches or warping at all.  Looks as if new even under a halogen bulb which brings up only the very faintest of removals. Pristine!

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounded great from start to finish.  The sound was sharp and clear with no jumps or skips at all!  .  The band was clearly separable by the ear on all frequencies! This is how a first press should be heard! It just jumped off the record with a full, undistorted body of sound unspoiled by clicks or pops. There was some minor static on the initial run-in but it was barely noticeable.  Even on full volume it sounded amazing! FINAL UPGRADE!

So there we have it.  A superb first press utterly MINT and complete with near perfect rare inner and mint outer sleeve!
