Description

Here is Jerry Lee's first LP, a gem to be reckoned with. It truly shows off his raw style, before fame and ego diluted his sound. This is the LP that launched his career. I will start bidding at my normal low price, trusting that some buyers will try to snag this one without a reserve.

The cover is about as nice as I've seen. The face side is near perfect. The corners are sharp and the seams are crisp. The only wear to report is some VERY minor contact buffing on the back and some very light rubbing on the first inch of the top seam near the opening. Considering it is almost 48 years old, I will rate it EX+. It's a beauty.

The disk surface looks VG, but plays great. It has an ample supply of sleeve lines, but nothing that can remotely be felt with a fingernail. It has some light crackle at entry (typical for obvious reasons) and a little between some tracks, but there are NO pops or repeating scratch clicks. It has rich fidelity and NONE of the tracks are interupted by distracting noise. This disk is NOT crap or I would not risk my reputation selling it. Use this one for a party player and if you ever find a NM disk to put in this cover, ya got a high-end collectable.

I ship records properly, 'disk out of cover' in a 2 ml poly sleeve and sent in a cardboard LP mailer. Questions are welcomed. Bid with confidence.

VINYL GRADING

M- = a pristine record

EX+ = a near mint record. May have VERY minor marks that can only be seen in bright light and plays with NO surface noise

EX = a well-kept record. May have micro-sleeve lines, perhaps minor marks that do NOT affect play. NM-

VG+ = a nice record. May have superficial marks but plays with MINIMAL surface sound ONLY in quiet passages.

VG = a used record. Has visible marks, light scratches and minor surface noise, but is still a good listening experience.

VG- = a well-used record. Has marks, minor scratches and obvious surface noise, but still plays through with NO skips and is still enjoyable.
