Description

An original 1st mono press of CROWN on RCA from autumn 1968.. Matrix 2K/2K. Stampers 2BU/1U [Nice and early]. Note the labels are RCA red spot with an inverted tape number - correct for autumn 1968. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with pinched spine. We also have the original Decca inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super shape and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A fussy player and you're going to need to look for a really clean player - otherwise background will quickly irritate. A lovely clean player by and large with very little to take issue with. There are lots of delicate lowkey moments and this copy is more than capable of delivering them clean and accurately. Very impressive given the type of audio and the vintage. A few crackles in one brief moments per side - i.e. very little at all. Overall - a beautiful rendition of this delicate 60's classic.
Cover (Vg+) A nice clean front exhibiting a couple of light creases and some laminate lift along the spine edge [probably difficult to avoid]. The rear still looks tidy with just some light ring wear. Only light edge wear and the spine is pretty much all intact. Text legible, expect a touch of ageing. Overall the cover retains verygood rigididty.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
