Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds, 1978 Columbia Records, CBS Master Sound Half-Speed Master Vinyl LP Audiophile Pressing, Extended Range Recording
Two record Set: A groundbreaking production of a "musical version" or interpretation of a classic work of late 19th century literature. Includes the Song "Forever Autumn"performed by Justin Hayward (from The Moody Blues). This album features the voices of Richard Burton (as the narrator), Julie Covington, David Essex, Justin Hayward, Phil Lynott, Jo Partridge and Chris Thompson. A 16 page, full color booklet is included that contains marvelous artistic interpretations of the story, along with a verbatim script of all spoken dialog and a page of background on the performers. This is a truly unique excursion into literary expression in musical form. The work is almost an opera!

The album cover has slight record rack wear but the contents are pristine. The records were only played on a high-quality turntable once or twice to transfer album to tape. Has been in cool, dry storage for decades. All original paper contents of album are present and the LP records are in translucent, anti-static, plastic sleeves.
Look for other Half-Speed Master LPs being offered by this Seller! Please note: I am only a private seller and not an experienced grader, so the ratings I have given are my own personal opinion. All my Master records have been kept in as close to New condition as possible, carefully stored and have been played only a couple of times on good equipment. To the best of my knowledge, the LPs are in pristine condition and should be virtually pop-free.
