Description
Jeff Beck might be the least-known of the three guitar heroes who populated the Yardbirds, but as a sonic innovator he eclipses Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton ----and most others-----with his explosive , avant-noise style. Though his career at times has been erratic, in 1975 Beck released a jazz and funk oriented album called 'Blow by Blow' (produced by George Martin) and was hailed instantly as an all-instrumental masterpiece. Without missing a beat, the following year Beck released what I and many others believe was an album which was even more impressive called 'Wired' (EPC 86012). Again produced by legendary "Beatles" producer George Martin, 'Wired' was a collection of 8 stunning instrumentals and was slightly more rock-oriented. It garnered Beck his second consecutive 'Guitar Player' Readers Poll award for Best Guitar Album and was voted Best Rock Guitarist in 1976.
The copy I am offering is a 1st UK pressing and the audio is simply sensational. Every detail and nuance on the original master tape is reproduced with amazing clarity. The sound is balanced, with incredible punch in the percussion....clear and distortion-free.....You will not find a cleaner and better sounding copy.
Condition of Lp Jacket: Near Mint.....lovely varnish to the card stock....near-perfect with an almost unnoticeable, inoffensive , faint crease towards the lower front portion of the jacket.
Condition of Original Inner-Sleeve: Near Mint .....a higher quality inner will be included to house the precious record.
Condition of Record: Near Mint.....Beautiful gloss....one could almost make an argument for Mint in this case....the record is that clean! Labels are perfect....As mentioned, the audio is tremendous....I doubt there is a cleaner copy out there.
