Jean-Max Clement Bach Cello Suites Volume 2 L'OISEAU-LYRE OLS 134
Suites no 4 (conclusion) 5 and 6.
LP is in EX/EX+ condition. Almost no surface noise, and very few pops and ticks. There is a very faint repetitive tick on side one which lasts 3 or 4 revolutions. The recorded sound is really excellent. Cover is in EX condition
This is volume 2 from a complete set of the Bach Cello Suites recorded by the French? Cellist Jean-Max Clement. My friend who owns most of the records I am selling tells me he had Volume 1 as well, but having searched high and low we have been unable to locate it! If we do find it, we will put it up for auction at a later date.
Clement is not a cellist I am familiar with, and more's the pity as these are quite wonderful performances, perhaps broader and more lyrical than the recording by Janos Starker that I am selling.
This comes from a large collection of LPs that a former music professor has asked me to sell on his behalf. There are some real treasures which I will post from time to time when I can. Please look at the other records I've listed today.
