Description
Various Artists, Conception, on Prestige 7013. Original mono issue of this early Prestige LP has the W. 50th address on the label and Rudy Van Gelder's initials in the runout. Miles Davis plays on six tracks here (two with Sonny Rollins, four with Lee Konitz), Konitz is on six, Stan Getz on two, Gerry Mulligan on two, and Zoot Sims on one. Superb condition, looks like it has seen very little play. A-side is M- with full gloss and some spots on the vinyl consistent with a disk that spent years in an old "rice paper" sleeve of the sort that the early Prestige LPs were issued with. B-side is similar, but has a broad patch of superficial scuffs that do not make any sound, but make that side VG+ visually. Nice front cover has only light wear, rear cover has light to moderate wear, a little flaking/chipping to spine and bottom seam, bottom corners bumped and missing a little paper. Very nice overall cover, excellent record.

GRADING
M- A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG+ Full gloss, some light marks. A very, very attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG More marks and scratches, will have some surface noise, but still a playable record. Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG- Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.
G+ and G Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
