Description
Billie Holiday, Lady Sings the Blues, on Clef 721. Beautiful original issue on Clef (later issued on Verve) is in M- condition. The A-side has what looks like a long fingernail scuff on it, but, on closer inspection, it appears to just be an artifact of the pressing--it has no depth, and in any case makes no sound. Only a tiny bit of wear to the front cover, light wear to the rear, good solid seams.
Note that I am currently selling a superb collection consisting heavily of mid-century jazz and vocalists. These records were kept in magnificent shape by their owner, so check my other auctions now and over the coming weeks.
GRADING
M- A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG++ Superb record, full gloss with a few superficial marks that do not sound.
VG+ Full gloss, light marks or scuffs, but an attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG More marks and scratches, but still a decent record. Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG- Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems. Not a beautiful record, but still serviceable, not junk.
G+ and G Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
