Hello everyone,
I'm having another purge as I continue to downsize my collection of some 60+ years and, as a result, I will be listing many 78rpm jazz records over the coming weeks.
Most will be New Orleans and Swing recorded from the 1920s to the 50s.
Below are the details of the four Louis Armstrong recordings :-
Parlophone R 2135 A Monday Date / Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams One tiny mark and a very few very fine faint, short lines. EX
Capitol CL 14643 High Society Calypso / Now You Has Jazz A few scuffs and just a handful of faint fine lines. VG+
Parlophone R 448 West End Blues / Freeze An' Melt Five short scratches. A very few short light lines. Otherwise nice clean record. VG
Parlophone R 2438 Knee Drops / Skip The Gutter A couple of scuffs and just a very few short fine lines. EX- Despite any marks mentioned all the records play without any imperfections sounding. One has to appreciate that most vintage recordings will have some background noise, often associated with the original recording and sometimes as a result of wind-up grams.
This is a lovely quartet of music from the best of their day. All come with plain brown sleeves in very good condition, without tears.
All records will be bubble wrapped and dispatched in a purpose made cardboard record mailer.
