Questo disco fa parte della serie BLP, serie che consta di 100 titoli, cioè tutta la serie Blue Note 1500 ( da 1501 a 1599 ) Successiva alla serie King, fu stampata dal 1983 al 1984 quando la EMI / Capitol trasferì la produzione e la propria filiale in Giappone trasformandosi in Toshiba / EMI, rispetto alla serie King l'OBI non è una fascia ma un adesivo rotondo. I dischi che fanno parte di questa serie sono di grandissima qualità, anche se a parere di molti leggermente inferiori alle precedenti stampe KING, sicuramente superiori ai dischi della Classic Records che vengono venduti a prezzi molto alti ingiustificabilmente; considerate che le registrazioni BLP sono arrivate ai master originali più di 20 anni prima della Classic Records e questo già basterebbe, molte di queste ristampe giapponesi "vintage" si trovano oggi nei circoli collezionisti americani ed europei, offrono un vinile di qualità ad un prezzo ragionevole di titoli altrimenti insostenibili e rari nella serie 1500, ed alcuni titoli contengono materiale non pubblicato altrove. Toshiba/EMI ha fedelmente ristampato alcuni titoli "mono-solo" e per fortuna non è stato creato "stereo fasullo" attraverso il ritrattamento elettronico. Le moderne ristampe in vinile Toshiba non sono dello stesso livello di quelle precedenti cioè di quelle precedenti gli inizi anni 90'.

This record is part of the BLP series, a series that consists of 100 titles, ie the whole series Blue Note 1500 (from 1501 to 1599) Succeding to the King series, it was printed from 1983 to 1984 when EMI / Capitol moved production and its branch in Japan transforming itself into Toshiba/EMI, compared to the King series the OBI is not a band but a round sticker. The record that are part of this series are of great quality, although in the opinion of many slightly lower than the previous KING prints, certainly superior to the records of Classic Records that are sold at very high prices unjustifiably; consider that the BLP recordings have reached the original master more than 20 years before the Classic Records and this would already be enough, many of these "vintage" Japanese reprints are found today in American and European collectors circles, offer quality vinyl at a reasonable price of otherwise unsustainable and rare titles in the 1500 series, and some titles contain material not published elsewhere. Toshiba / EMI has faithfully reprinted some "mono-only" titles and fortunately it has not been created "fake stereo" through electronic reprocessing. The modern Toshiba vinyl reprints are not the same level as the previous ones, that is those of the early 90s.
