Description

An original 1st press of PEARL on UK CBS. Matrix A1/B1. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy card cover. We also have the original generic white inner. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful condition and has clearly been looked after, and seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very lightest arks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. What is so impressive about this copy is that it plays clean throughout. I can't tell you how many nice looking copies I've seen that play distinctly average. But on a classic title like this a collector really should be seeking a GREAT copy - not average. I tend to find folks have just been careless or there's background in the quieter tracks. This sees to be very common - don't ask me why. So, when you hear a properly witness a decent really clean player throughout it's a bit of a revelation. Because - make no mistake about this is most certainly a classic title. But this example plays Bobby McGee and Mercedes. Both are very low-key and incredibly fussy. But the wait is over... because... this copy plays them clean as a whistle. Mercedes in particular is super fussy - almost no copy will play it perfect. But this copy is as close as I've ever witnessed. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) Again, very hard to find in decent condition. Again, don't ask me why - it's just the way it is! Very nice clean front cover with just a couple of very minor creases [very unusual looking like this]. The rear is equally good - sweet! A bit of light edge wear - but much better than you typically find. A very nice square spine with very light wear - just a couple of minor stress creases. Thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits.
