Description
This listing is for a very rare vinyl LP of the album by the artist Jandek called Follow Your Footsteps.
It was self-released in 1986 by the indie label Corwood Industries with catalog # CR-0751.
Corwood Industries is the self-publishing label for the music project Jandek.
Jandek (real name is Sterling Richard Smith) is a strange, reclusive, yet prolific artist operating from Houston, Texas since 1978. Little is known about him. His music ranges from blues and electric boogie music to spoken word and avant-garde chamber music.
This album was re-released on CD in 2002, but has never been reissued on vinyl.
The record itself is in fairly good condition with some light visible scuff marks and minor surface scratches, but those haven't dulled the finish too much.
Surface noise is present at times, but isn't overly disruptive.
When play tested, the record did not produce any skips on my equipment.
There is also some light dust/dirt and a few finger print smudges, so a thorough cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound even more.
If using industry grading I would conservatively grade this disc as a higher end VG copy.
The sleeve is still partially in the original shrink wrap, which has protected it somewhat. I would say it's in good condition with moderate visible cover wear on the edges & corners.
There is only very light signs of ring wear and no seam splits or other major defects.
There is some yellowing on portions of the front and back cover, mostly on the exposed opening end.
A radio station stick is also on the cover itself under the shrink on the outer edge of the front.
I would grade the cover as a strong VG as well.
