James Brown & The Famous Flames Think! 1961 Mono No Crown Label VG/VG.


For auction is a very good listeners copy of Think! by James Brown & The Famous Flames. Known as the “Godfather of Soul”, “Mr. Dynamite” and “Soul Brother #1”, Brown, is a pioneer in popular music whose influence was monumental in the creation of several genres. He was one of the original 10 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. This is his third studio album released in 1960 with his backing vocal group, The Famous Flames. It features a total of seven charting hits. This copy is an early 1961 mono reissue on the King label. The labels are black with no crown which was present on later presses in 1961.


Vinyl is play graded VG. Some light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with mild background noise at times but never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.


Cover is also in VG condition. There is shelf wear on corners and seams. The bottom has a 2 inch split from open edge that is taped. Other than that seams are super solid. Light ring wear as well as stains, fading and scuffing on both sides. Please see pics.
